Wayne Pigment

Key Engineering Group is currently conducting Site Investigation of a two block area which formerly housed Wayne Pigment Company (a manufacturer of lead and chromates) for about 30 years. The properties were previously operated by PPG Industries since 1885. The site has had over 30 tanks and other Hazardous Materials in use. Key Engineering Group is conducting Vapor Intrusion Studies, Asbestos and Lead Paint Abatement and Remedial Action to address petroleum, and chlorinated compounds as well as RCRA Metals of which hexavalent and trivalent chromium are of concern. The site has been awarded historic tax credits and we are submitting for SAG and Brownfield Grants. The two block area will be converted to residential apartments.
